There is not much information on Harry at this point. He was an English soldier and fell in love with my grandmother Maria Schmidt, a German nurse in 1945. She worked at a military hospital in Prenzlau, Germany. He left 1946 and wanted to take her with him but she was scared and hid. My father was born 04th October 1946, so Harry must have been in Prenzlau for sure around January/February 1946.

Harry is a Medieval English form of HENRY. In modern times it is used as a diminutive of both Henry and HAROLD.

Es gibt leider nicht viele Informationen über Harry zu diesem Zeitpunkt. Er war ein englischer Soldat und verliebte sich in meine Großmutter Maria Schmidt, eine deutsche Krankenschwester in 1945. Sie arbeitete in einem Lazarett in Prenzlau. Er kehrte 1946 in seine Heimat zurück und wollte meine Großmutter mitnehmen, die sich jedoch aus Angst versteckte. Mein Vater wurde am 4. Oktober 1946 geboren, so dass Harry im Januar/Februar 1946 auf jeden Fall in Prenzlau stationiert war.
